At first contact Mark Fricker was friendly and informative, and as a local, he knew the area and its potential market. His marketing plan was clearly devised to create best reach into the target segment using modern methods, and was good value. The three stage approach was well described, and very sensible. This was a deceased estate. Mark's earlier efforts in understanding the local area paid off as well. He had gone to the trouble to meet my father and knew his name and circumstances, clear evidence of local understanding.
Most importantly, throughout all communications Mark was open and honest, from the start, inspiring confidence that he would work to create best value, which he then did. Mark continued communication throughout, even though we were managing the sale remotely (Melbourne and Wallaroo). Mark was also a brilliant auctioneer. He managed the bidding to a natural pace, firmly in control of increments while keeping the bidders engaged.
Mark was the perfect agent in all regards. Because this was a deceased estate it took some time after first contact with Mark to bring both of the Executors together for the sale of the property. Mark remained helpful and understanding at all times.
His local knowledge was another great advantage. He genuinely enjoys engaging positively with people, and has an enormous gift for that. But he is also a true professional, as his marshaling of potential bidders, ongoing evaluation of the market and handling of the auction, amongst many other things, proved. Best value was certainly achieved.
